What does "omnipotence" mean?
What does omnipotence mean?
Want to impress your friends or youth leaders? Here’s a word that will help you do that. Omnipotence refers to being “all-powerful,” which God is. The actual word does not appear in the Bible but the concept saturates it. Unlike the gods of the Greek and Roman mythology, who were powerful but bound by fate, God is all-powerful and no one (or no god) can thwart His will (see Job 42:2l Jeremiah 32:17; Luke 1:27). Jesus’ words in Matthew 19:26 sum up the Bible’s view, “With God all things are possible.”
