When did you become a Christian?

I became a Christian at a very young age.  I was one of those kids who grew up going to church with my parents.  There is no distinct moment that I can remember about becoming a Christian because my Christian faith has been with me since my earliest memories of childhood.

When did you first come to Discovery?

I first came to Discovery when I was a freshman in high school.  During my freshmen year at Valley View High School, some friends had continually invited me to attend Bible study during lunch. I finally attended and met our then youth pastor Randy Paredes.  I immediately liked the in depth Bible study and I convinced my parents to check out the church on Sundays. My parents realized that they had some mutual friends that attended the church and decided to check it out.  Ever since, I have attended Discovery.

When did you become a youth leader?

I first became a youth leader on Sunday mornings with the middle school worship. I was involved in this ministry for approximately five or six years.  During that time, I got to meet a lot of great kids who are now graduating from high school.

What is you favorite thing about our church?

My favorite thing about this church is the fellowship.  I enjoy the relationships that I have built with so many people in this church. I have had so many great experiences with this church through Bible study, mission trips, and just hanging out.

What is your favorite part of Youth Ministry?

My favorite part of youth ministry is the students.  There are some amazing students who inspire me constantly. Even though I may be older than them, they still inspire me and teach me how to be a better person.  I can’t wait to see what these students accomplish for God in the future.
